The Olympus TLP is Shell’s sixth and largest tension leg platform and will gather production from two of Shell’s deep water discoveries.
No system worldwide was available with the ability to handle this many cameras.
Several vessels need the ability to remotely control the various cameras’ pan-tilt-zoom and lighting features.
The system needs to be able to accept and distributed analog ROV video streams.
nCentric developed a junction box containing all the necessary video hardware and control systems in a redundant setting. A very resilient, redundant, high-bandwidth and very low latency mesh network was created covering the work area around the Olympus platform using nCentric’s ROBIN-R4 node.
nCentric’s solution allowed Allseas to create a EIGRP cloud between their vessels and the data center in Holland.
