Subsea World News published an article about DeepOcean using nCentric nodes with Coda Octopus technology
Subsea World News reports:
On the Race Bank offshore wind farm project, DeepOcean used Coda Octopus’s Echoscope real-time 3D sonar system together with a nCentric mesh network. These technologies were used for a vast number of tasks including live cable touch-down monitoring and position recording, monitoring of first and second end pull-ins, cable-cut marking and survey of the as-laid inter-array cables.
These critical tasks needed the cooperation between DeepOcean's survey vessel Deep Helder and cable installation vessel Edda Freya. The survey vessel streamed realtime, live images from the Coda Octopus’s Echoscope to the installation vessel, which used this data to continue its constructions.
